Our Vision


Hey everyone,

This week, our Team got together and had a  meeting regarding what our vision end goal is for Hangry Chicken.  This is where we had to look at our game's current position and how we could improve our game and plan towards that goal.  Naturally, our current game has steered away from the original pitch, however, we have all agreed that we will be making some changes that will enhance the Player's gameplay.

We have decided to include the narrative that was pitched but didn't make it to the current game. I believe it's important to add some kind of narrative as this creates a sense of game flow and an end goal for the Player. At the moment we currently have 2 enemy types and 2 environmental obstacles that Nugget must avoid or else the level will reset.  We were thinking about adding one more enemy type and several environmental obstacles for the Barn, Forest and Desert levels. Tech Leads would be polishing the throwing egg teleport mechanic as well as experimenting on a camera follow script. 

Overall we wanted to stick with the Fantasy theme and really push that idea onto our game more. So we have drafted some concepts made by our Art Lead Woolin to add to that storybook fantasy theme. By adding a paper-like material to her backgrounds and the platforms were given a white border to create a pop-up book feel/sticker feel.  Other than the backgrounds and platforms' art style being changed,  our Producer Elliot also wanted to change the art style of the characters the Chicken, Snake and Fox. 

As I mentioned before, there are a lot of changes we will be making. I believe our Team can do it and make this game the best it can possibly be.
