Main Menu Animation and Concept Art

This week we will be working towards setting up the first level playable and polished and will hopefully get our weekly minestrones done without delays.  We had an opportunity to work with a sound student who is able to create sounds to put into Hangry Chicken but they will be postponed until week 6 -  week 8 as he will be away.

Louise has created a storybook flipping animation to be used for the main menu screen.  Inspiration from Disney's classic movies such as Sleeping Beauty ( 1956)  where they used a book to introduce the audience to the introduction.  This storybook method is also used in the movie Shrek. She also put together the tile pattern using the potions and eggs drawn by Woolin to create a new potential loading screen background which is also used as the background for the blog!

So the typeface that is used on the Book is called Bradley and would match our fantasy theme as the font looks like hand calligraphy as seen below. This is found on Dafont.com under ' Bradley Gratis'.

Woolin created some checkpoint sprites and did 3 different checkpoint designs for each background.  To ensure that the checkpoint has been used, she has made it clear the egg glows.  This is to avoid confusion about the egg that Nugget throws compared to the checkpoint egg.
